Quality Language Schools Worldwide

IALC is one of five associations shortlisted for the 2009 Language Travel Magazine LTM Star School Association award. Since the LTM Star Awards were inaugurated in 2006, IALC has been short-listed each year and has twice won. The winners of the 2009 LTM Star Awards will be announced in September 2009.

The LTM Star School Association is voted for by study travel agencies worldwide. In 2009, IALC has provided language travel agents and their customers with a growing choice of high-quality language programmes in the country where the language is spoken.

Since October 2008, 16 independent language schools have been inspected and accredited as IALC member schools. They are located in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Mexico, Scotland and the USA.

The IALC Partner Agency scheme was launched in late 2008 to recognise language travel consultancies and agencies that work with more than 10 IALC schools. The benefits include a special IALC Partner agency logo and listing on this website.

The 26th IALC Workshop was hosted by the Linguaviva/Linguadue Italian language schools in Milan, Italy, at the end of April 2009. It was attended by agents from 127 agencies, many of whom then joined fam trips to visit language schools in Sicily, Florence or Malta.

Representatives from IALC language schools will travel to Istanbul in September for an agent workshop and there will be further marketing missions to visit agents in Russia in October and Colombia, Mexico and Panama in November 2009.

The IALC printed directory and the school and course searches on this website have been updated. They help agencies to find new school partners, specific courses and new language travel destinations with a click of the mouse.

In partnership with language and study travel agencies worldwide, IALC is proud to promote the study of foreign languages at high-quality, independent language schools in the country where the language is spoken.
