Quality Language Schools Worldwide

Iryna Turii of Info Mist in Ukraine has won this week’s free scholarship at Tamwood Language Centres in Canada.

We spoke to Iryna to find out more about Info Mist and their plans for the 2012 IALC Workshop in Toronto.

Q: Congratulations, Iryna, you are a winner of our weekly free scholarship prize draw. How do you feel?

A: I am really excited!

Q: What are you most looking forward to at the 2012 IALC Workshop?

A: I think that it is a great opportunity for our company to open new possibilities for our clients. Knowledge of new languages is developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, our fellow man and people all over the world.

Q: At the Workshop you’ll be able to meet over 100 IALC schools, covering nine major languages in destinations across the world. What are your particular interests - destinations, languages, programmes, age-groups?

A: All of this is interesting in for me. New destinations and learning languages in the native speakers country makes better not only our knowledge but also make us closer to others nationalities - so making our world more safe and open. New programmes, new destinations and making new friends is our aim.

Q: How have things changed at the agency since you were established?

A: We are a dynamic and developing company. Every day brings us new possibilities. We now have 6 offices in Ukraine.

Q: Where does the majority of your student business come from e.g. walk-in, word-of-mouth, website...?

A: Very often students receive information about us via word-of-mouth, but sending information to every educational institution gives us also very good results.

Q: Has the source of your student business changed for you over the years?

A: I think so, yes. We are developing our offers as well as our way of making business and trying to bring more and more possibilities for our clients to see the world and receive quality education.

Q: What do you see as the biggest challenges in the year ahead?

A: I am trying to see only the biggest success in the year ahead.

Q: Moving on to find out more about you, which is your favourite travel destination?

A: I love London. But in Ukraine - our Carpathian mountains - are the best for me.

Q: Your favourite pastime?
