Last month Impact English College was presented the award for ‘Excellence in International Student Employability and Career Development’ at the 2016 Victorian International Education Awards.
The annual Victorian International Education Awards (VIEA) are an initiative of the Victorian Government to support the international education sector and to acknowledge outstanding achievements among the best education providers, businesses, not-for-profits, and students.
Impact English College has been named one of the top international education providers in Victoria for the last four years. In 2013 and 2014, Impact English College received the Victorian International Education Award for ‘Excellence in English Language Training’. In 2015, the college received the Premier’s Award for ‘International Education Provider of the Year’, and the ‘Excellence in International Student Experience’ award.
The award received this year recognises schools for their high-quality teaching and innovative approaches to increasing student employability through a number of initiatives including practical and real-life work experiences.
‘The course acts to enable students to have a very real prospect of gaining work in one of Melbourne’s many coffee shops, interacting with owners, staff and customers in English on a daily basis.’
