Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI) has recently won accreditation from the British Computer Society to deliver the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), an internationally recognised qualification, which certifies that the holder is competent in the use of a personal computer and common computer applications and knows the essential concepts of IT. The full ECDL syllabus will be covered within the BBSI 12-week Computer Studies Certificate course or as the foundation of a Higher Certificate, Diploma or University Foundation in Computing & Information Technology.

Computer Studies can also be taken as an option on the BBSI Communication & Business Skills course, which is an integral component of all Diploma and University Foundation courses, or within a general English course programme at the Bournemouth English language school.

No prior IT knowledge or computer skills is needed to study ECDL, which has eight modules at two levels: basic concepts of IT, using the computer and managing files, internet & email, word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation and using IT.
