The Oxford English Centre in England marked its 25th anniversary on November 5, 2004 with a party attended by the Lord Mayor of Oxford and language course students currently studying at the school.
The Lord Mayor of Oxford opened the day's proceedings in a marquee specially erected for the party in the school garden. After the formal speeches, the 300 guests enjoyed champagne, tea and scones and gentle jazz.
Later, there was dancing and live music provided by the “Outrage” steel band. The evening barbeque was not the only fire at Oxford English Centre on Guy Fawkes night, as a huge firework display commemorated 25 years of Oxford English Centre success.
