Students at the Eastbourne School of English (ESOE) joined in the celebration of the school's 80th anniversary at a party on 30 April. As well as staff and students, guests included the Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Janet Coles, Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell, host families, friends, local partners, members of the board and management of The English Language Centre and former staff.
With gin punch, tea and delicious cakes provided by the Crumpet Caddy, over 100 people came together to enjoy a classic English celebration.
80 weeks of scholarships for 80 years!
To mark the anniversary, ESOE is offering 80 weeks of scholarships to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue the dream of learning English and building friendships with students from other countries. The scholarships will typically be two weeks of tuition and standard homestay accommodation (half-board). We will be releasing more details of scholarship winners later in the year.
