Gonzalez, a native of Miami, reports to Eimear Harrison, executive vice president of Rennert International.
He looks forward to managing an international school in his hometown.
"I know a lot about the city both from a tourist perspective and from a local's perspective," he observes. "I can direct students towards good deals and places off the beaten path, locations most people don't know about and find out about only after they've been in Miami for some time."
Gonzalez began his educational career in 2007 with Berlitz in Boston and Coral Gables, FL, where he oversaw 36 faculty members in various language specialties and was responsible for management of corporate clients. From there, Gonzalez traveled to Brazil, where he was responsible for program and facility management and curricular development at the Red Balloon Language schools in Sao Paulo.
He returned to the U.S. in 2011, joining ELS as director of its on-campus school at the College of Southern Nevada, subsequently transferring to the company's English Program at Dominican University in Chicago.
Gonzalez holds a Bachelor's Degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is completing a Master's Degree in educational administration at Florida International University.
