IALC school of Italian in Bologna, ALCE Accademia Lingue e Culture Europee, has expanded its facilities by opening a new floor in the school's historical building.
In 2015, ALCE also acquired a new brand identity and became a CELI and CERT.IT official exam centre.
The new floor is specially designed and features:
- New classrooms with modern devices / projector
- A fully equipped professional kitchen for cooking classes
- A specially designed classroom for wine tasting sessions with AIS sommeliers
- A unique soundproof recording studio for movie and video dubbing
The new Dubbing Lab is a fully equipped studio for dubbing film sequences, commercials, cartoons and other videos in the target language. It is a very important teaching resource, which aims at improving oral skills, particularly fluency, rhythm, intonation and pronunciation. Recording the students’ performance allows them and their teachers to analyse their speech in detail and to enhance all aspects of the oral output.
ALCE celebrated the launch of the new facilities and its 15th anniversary on Saturday 12 December 2015.
The party started with wine tasting and food and wine matching, guided by the school's professional sommeliers AIS, Diana and Josè. Then there was “show cooking” by the school Chef in the new kitchen. Celebrations continued around a buffet of Italian food specialties and wines.
