Quality Language Schools Worldwide

Melton College has been celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013, and to mark the milestone, the York-based English language school has given away 50 weeks of scholarships throughout the year.

The birthday cake was commissioned on 16 April, exactly 50 years after their first student came to the school.

On 18-20 October, they hosted a 50th Birthday weekend, during which they welcomed a fam-trip of agents from Czech Republic, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Denmark, Russia and Austria.

Following dinner at Melton’s Too, agents were were able to visit some a little bit of York before spending the afternoon at Castle Howard.

On Saturday evening, friends from around the UK joined the group for a dinner held at the College and served by Melton’s Restaurant. The event was hosted by three generations of the Hjort family. The weekend ended with a Champagne tea-party for the school’s homestay hosts, staff, former staff and examiners.
