Frances King School of English in London has some important updates for agents, including new courses and changes to Cambridge exam preparation and homestay accommodation in 2011.
New Courses for 2011
•Summer 2011 will see two new courses for Business and Professional People – Young Executive and Young Lawyer, both 20 lessons per week, from 9.00-13.00.
•A 30 lesson General and Social or Business English course will run alongside the current 25 lesson course. The sixth lesson of each day will take place from 3.00-4.00pm and will consist of more social English.
•As well as the 20 and 30 lesson courses there is a 40 lesson package and a 10-day programme which includes two weekends and one week, designed for those who can only get one week off work.
•A new General and Academic English course features 15 General English lessons in the morning and 10 Academic English lessons in the afternoon. The course lasts 4-36 weeks with time out to do an IELTS preparation course. It will be a clear alternative to General and Social or Business English for students whose main motivation is to prepare for study at an English-speaking university or other educational institution.
•The family programme, for both adults and children, will be offered in the afternoons for the peak weeks of the summer season.
Cambridge Examination Preparation
•There are more start dates for the four week Cambridge examination preparation courses for FCE and CAE, which were successfully launched in 2010.
•Year round locations will include Grosvenor Gardens in Belgravia, which will be a dedicated Examination Preparation Centre.
•From 2011, Frances King will offer Zone 3 homestays throughout the year, not just in the busy summer months. Outside the summer months, homestays in Zone 3 will be offered at a lower price than homestays in Zones 1 and 2.
•A new competitively priced student residence will be available all year round within walking distance of Gloucester Road and Wetherby Gardens.
