Jean-Marc Alberola of Bridge-Linguatec and Celestine Rowland of Galway Cultural Institute were elected to the IALC Executive Board at the association’s AGM on 19 April 2012. Jean-Marc succeeds Wolfgang Graser of Good Hope Studies as Vice President - Marketing, while Celestine takes over from Judith Hands of Torquay International School in the role of Vice President - Quality Assurance.

The IALC Board consists of five volunteer officers from IALC schools and an executive director. IALC also has three regional directors, who serve on the Membership Committee and are called on for expert help in matters arising in their region. At the AGM on 19 April, John France of Langports in Australia became Regional Director for Africa Asia Pacific, a position previously held by Angus Tuck of South Australian College of English.

"It has been a privilege to work with Judie and Wolfgang on the Board and with Angus in the Membership Committee. I’m thrilled to welcome Celestine, Jean-Marc and John. Each brings special expertise and ideas and will continue the good work of their predecessors," said IALC President, Alexandra Borges de Sousa of CIAL Centro de Linguas.
