The Liden & Denz Russian language schools in Moscow and St Petersburg have welcomed recent steps to simplify the Russian visa application procedure for students travelling on a Schengen passport. The move puts Russian language schools in Russia in a better position to accept long-term students from Schengen countries at short notice.
The new visa rules, which came into effect in summer 2007, have simplified the invitation procedure for certain visitor categories to Russia. Among those to benefit, students for Russian language schools like Liden & Denz who carry a Schengen passport can now be fast-tracked through the official channels, resulting in smoother and quicker course enrolments.
Walter Denz, owner of Liden & Denz, comments:
“After some initial hiccups, the new visa procedure appears to be working smoothly. We therefore feel it is the right time to go public and explain what impact it has for students wishing to study Russian at one of the Liden & Denz Language Centres.”
