Robin Adams, managing director of Global Village English Centres, has been appointed to the Executive Board of the International Association of Language Centres (IALC), where he will oversee marketing.
Robin, who is a member of the IALC marketing committee, will act as interim Vice President - Marketing until the 2016 IALC annual general meeting, at which all IALC board directors are formally elected.
Robin succeeds Jean-Marc Alberola, president of Bridge Education Group, which resigned its membership of IALC in October 2015, as its growth strategy, including plans for a network of pathway centres in the USA, no longer aligns with membership of an association for independent and boutique chain schools.
"We're excited to have Robin's marketing expertise on the Board and are sure he will be a worthy successor to Jean-Marc, who guided IALC skilfully through major strategic change," said Jan Capper, executive director.
