TIS English language school in Torquay has acquired a nearby hotel and converted it into a student residence for its mature clients. The Club TIS Hotel opens from 28 March 2009 in the former Everglades hotel across the road from Torquay International School.
Club TIS Hotel is not a typical student residence. It is a hotel with comfortable en-suite rooms, a substantial continental breakfast each morning, and a study room/library equipped with a computer for guests to use in the evenings. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the sea leading to a delightful secluded garden.
The Club TIS Café is open for lunch on weekdays and the caterers have a menu of evening meals which can be left for guests to serve themselves. Alternatively guests can use the simple guest kitchen with a small oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge or walk into the town centre with its wide variety of pubs, cafés and restaurants.
The Club TIS Hotel gives agents a wider choice of accommodation and additional service to offer English language clients wanting to learn general or professional English in Torquay.
