ESE continues to develop its Academic Year Course in Malta, adding more options for students with different needs. The new programme, available from October 2012, retains its successful academic structure and focus on the holistic development of the core language skills, but allows students more flexibility to personalise the course to suit their needs and reasons for improving their English.

The framework that underpins the revamped AYC programme allows students to choose from eight start dates through the year. They can also choose an AYC with a Business, Tourism and Hospitality, Academic or Fluency slant. So a student who wishes to further his or her studies at university can choose Academic English classes as part of the AYC programme, while a student aiming for a career in the tourism and hospitality sector can take the CTH Tourism and Hospitality classes.

AYC students at ESE can also take one of several internationally-recognised exams, such as IELTS, Cambridge Main Suite, a Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality Certificate in English or even the International Computer Driving Licence.

"We believe that by offering our students greater flexibility and more options to choose from, they have a hand in defining the course content of their AYC programme to ensure that the course is relevant to their educational goals," explains Sean Le Gault, CEO of ESE. "Meeting and accommodating our students’ needs is always a priority when we design our courses."
