Our students’ favourite choice is the school-owned ActiLingua Residence, which is only 10-15 minutes from the school and the city centre. The relaxing atmosphere in the 20 Standard and Superior Apartments is great for relaxing after the German course and spending time with new, international friends. 

We also offer shared flats & apartments, carefully selected host families or student houses during the summer.

Vienna, the beautiful capital of Austria, is perfectly located, in the heart of Europe. With a population of about 1.8 million, Vienna is the biggest city in Austria. As you might know, it’s known as the city of music, art and culture, thanks to a long lasting tradition of musical arts with famous composers like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Franz Schubert, artists like Gustav Klimt and Hundertwasser and of course the famous Viennese cuisine.

There is also a modern side to Vienna. The Museumsquartier, several music, dance and film festivals and fashion events like the Vienna Fashion Week are perfect especially for young people.

Vienna has ranked highest for quality of living in the Mercer study for the 8th time in a row. With its excellent infrastructure, many green areas like parks and the Danube Island, and its safety, Vienna provides a stimulating environment for German course.  

At ActiLingua Academy we teach standard German according to a recognized curriculum with the same course books renowned German language schools in Germany use.

ActiLingua Academy is an official examination centre for the Austrian German Language Diploma (ÖSD), which is internationally recognized.

The levels B2, C1 and C2 are accepted as proof of German language ability for admission at Austrian and most German universities.

You can take the following exams: ÖSD Zertifikat A1, A2, B1, B1/Jugendliche, B2, C1, C2/Wirtschaftsdeutsch   Our Certificate Preparation Course provides ideal preparation for ÖSD exams!

Classes are held in bright, tastefully furnished modern classrooms in a partly air-conditioned non-smoking building opposite Schloss Belvedere. Before and after class we encourage students to meet and study in our student lounge where they find coffee, cold beverages and snacks. But also 20 computer work spaces with internet access, free WiFi, newspapers, books and DVDs. 10-15 additional classrooms are provided next door at the ActiLingua-Dependance.
