The modern centre consists of 15 spacious, well-it, air-conditioned classrooms, which are all equipped with an interactive board. It’s also accessible to people with special needs.

At our BELS English School in Malta, we offer a variety of English courses for adults, teenagers and young learners alike. Our courses include a selection of group courses and individual lesson.
BELS offers two different kinds of group adult English courses; the General English Standard (20 lessons, 12 people max) and the General English Intensive (30 lessons, 12 people max). The General English lessons focus on all 4 skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking). The intensive course includes an additional 10 lessons in the form of fluency classes. Both the intensive and standard courses are also offered as a mini group (6 people max).
Our Junior camps run during Easter, Summer and Autumn. They’re made especially for young travellers. It’s a chance to combine studying English with adventure while enjoying Malta’s rich history, captivating culture and the crystal clear waters. Our teen summer camp participants are under supervision 24/7.
At BELS we have two kinds of individual lessons: one-to-one and semi-individual. Individual lessons are tailor-made to fit your learning needs; tell us what you want to focus on and we’ll plan a programme just for you. They include General English, Fluency classes, Business English, English for Specific Purposes and Exam Preparation Courses. Individual lessons are also available via Skype.
The BELS Parent and Child programme is best suited for parents who would also like English for kids. Lessons are held at the same time, under the same roof.

Our shared accommodation consist of self-catering apartments that are idea for students traveling on a budget.
The BELS residence consists of 4 contemporary neighbouring apartments of 3 bedrooms each. The apartments are all comfortably furnished, including the use of air-condition, a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge area with a sea view. Each apartment also contains a living area with TV, Wi-Fi, and a shared bathroom. There is also the option to have an en-suite bathroom if requested. The residences are located just around the corner from the school and the central bus route. Amenities such as the local council, post office, banks, medical clinic, pharmacies and shops can be found within a short walking distance.
Living with a host family offers students the opportunity to fully immerse in the local lifestyle and the learning experience. Once the lessons are over, you can continue to speak English in Malta in a homely, family environment. If you like engaging with the local culture, this is the best option to learn about the island, the food and traditions. Our host families are hand-picked by BELS staff to ensure that they are friendly, open-minded and down to earth people. Students are given a warm welcome and are treated as another member of the household. Upon arrival, the family will help you settle in and adapt to the homestay Malta life and routine. You’ll be given information about the household and the locality. The families provide bed sheets, towels and weekly cleaning services. A host family profile will be sent to the student upon booking confirmation.
The BELS Malta Language School is in the North of the island, in the quaint coastal village of St. Paul’s Bay. The area is one of the few places that still has traditional Maltese houses with the multi-coloured doors and balconies. In St. Paul’s Bay you have everything you may need. A few minutes away from the school you can find a bank, a post office, a pharmacy, a medical clinic and a dental clinic. There are also a selection of restaurants, local supermarkets, fishmongers, bakeries and green grocers - all selling fresh, local produce.
Staying here also means the sea is always just a few steps away. The area is full of small rocky beaches with views of crystal-clear waters and brightly-coloured traditional fishing boats bobbing about in the harbour. If you prefer sandy beaches, you’re in luck. Some of the island’s best sandy beaches can be found in the north of the island (Golden Bay, Riviera Bay, Mellieħa Bay). Apart from that, the area is also rich in nature trails with breath-taking views of cliffs, magical sunsets and rustic old towers. A notable trail is the Xemxija Heritage trail which dates back to the Neolithic era (4000BC). Here you can see shrines, apiaries, burial sites and Roman bath houses. St. Pauls Bay is on a central bus route that has direct bus routes to most of the island. Prominent areas like St. Julian’s, Sliema, Valletta, Mdina, Mellieħa (Popeye’s Village) and Golden Bay are just a short bus ride away. From here you also have easy access to ferry connections to Gozo and Comino.
St. Pauls Bay is connected with the neighbouring tourist-town of Bugibba with a promenade all along the coast. The area is ideal for morning walks or jogs, and even an evening stroll. The seafront is full of restaurants and pubs sitting at the water’s edge. Within 20 minutes of walking you’ll find yourself in Bugibba. Bugibba is a livelier town, with plenty of amenities (cinema, bowling alley, bumping cars, basketball court, soccer field, water sports, boat tours etc) and entertainment places for a good night out.
Exam preparation courses at our Malta language school are available as individual lessons. We offer students the following exam courses in Malta: Cambridge KET, PET, FCE and CAE, IELTS and TOEFL. Our experienced teaching staff will guide you through the preparation process using up-to-date Cambridge and Oxford materials and various mock examinations.
