On Tuesday, 25th of September, representatives of leading International Education Institutions in Victoria, Australia, gathered at Federation Square in Melbourne for the announcement of the winners of the Victorian State Government’s Study Melbourne 2018 Victorian International Education Awards.
The Victorian International Education Awards (VIEA) are an initiative of the Victorian Government to support the international education sector, promote best practice in the sector and raise the awareness of its benefits to the broader community.
Impact English College was honoured to receive the Excellence in International Education - English Language Training award, presented to Impact English College Director, Mong Jeun, by the Director (Acting) International Education at the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, Rebecca Skinner.Since the first VIEA Awards in 2013, Impact English College has now accumulated seven Awards.
Three for English Language Training, one for International Student Experience, one for International Student Careers and Employability, one for International Student of the Year, and a Premier’s Award for International Education Provider of the Year.The college continues to demonstrate “outstanding achievement in all aspects of delivery of an English language program experience to international students”.
On receiving the award College Director, Chris Burgess, congratulated the team, “The 2018 Award for English Language Training in our 10th Anniversary Year is a heart-lifting result. But, this is no birthday gift. Rather, a well-earned recognition of the inspiring team of individuals who make up Impact English College, and which comes right on the back of our final 5 ranking in the StudyTravel Star Awards for Star English Language College -Southern Hemisphere.
