Six IALC language schools claimed top position in the first ever awards by the Turkish study travel agents’ association UED. They are: The London School of English, French in Normandy, Linguaviva in Florence, ESE European School of English, Centre of English Studies (CES) and Studio Cambridge.

Founded in 2001, UED is the Association of International Education Counselors Turkey, whose mission is "to determine the most suitable programs according to students’ criteria, by acting as a bridge between foreign educational institutions and students who want study abroad."

The UED Awards is the only competition to identify Turkish agents’ and their students’ choices and reward the institutions that provide the best services for Turkish students and agents. After the UED member agencies present their candidate institutions for each category, the winners are selected from the three most nominated institutions in each category by the votes of the UED Member Agencies’ Directors, who are leaders in Turkey’s international education consultancy sector in Turkey.

French in Normandy, Linguaviva in Florence and Studio Cambridge were in Turkey for the awards ceremony. "We are all thrilled and delighted to have been honoured by agencies in Turkey and to receive the first ever UED award," said Eleri Maitland, director of French in Normandy.
