The newest addition to Torquay harbour side is the stunning English Riviera Wheel, which came straight from the Olympic Village on 20 August. Taller than Nelson’s Column at 60 metres, the wheel has proved to be a great tourist attraction and certainly adds to the beauty of Torquay harbour side, especially at night when it is lit up and can be seen from miles around. As many TIS students have already discovered, from the top it offers stunning and unique views across the seven hills of Torquay and Torbay. The Wheel will stay in Torquay until the end of October and is already confirmed to return in summer 2013.
