IALC language school Global Village Victoria in Canada will launch an IELTS Test Centre in Calgary affiliated with IDP. The first test dates offered will be April 1 and April 3, 2021, for Computer-delivered IELTS Tests with Academic and General Training Modules available. GV Victoria continues to offer IELTS, CELPIP and Cambridge tests on Vancouver Island, while successfully offering hybrid and face-to-face English classes with schedules that support the new reality of students joining classes online from around the world.
According to Paula Jamieson, President and CEO of GV Victoria, “Although the COVID-19 crisis and related travel restrictions have been difficult for everyone in our industry, we’re happy to share the good news of opening an IELTS Test Centre in Calgary, aligned with Global Village’s strategic plans in Canada.”
Tania Knoch, Director of Testing Services, added, “This market is promising because of the demand for post-secondary education whether a certificate, diploma, or degree programs. Also, with the oil and natural gas prices improving, the job market will be searching for qualified candidates. Test-takers will have the option of booking hybrid IELTS preparation lessons with Global Village Victoria and studying with an expert GV instructor from the comfort of their home”.
COVID Safety Measures In line with provincial and federal guidelines, the GV Victoria Covid Response Team has developed a comprehensive Covid-19 Safety Plan, which has been approved by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education and meets Alberta workplace safety standards.
