Agents join fam-trips throughout Italy after IALC Bologna Workshop

On 22 April 2018, as the IALC 2018 Bologna Workshop came to an end, 40 agents departed on three fam-trips to IALC-accredited schools in Trieste and Milan, Florence and Rome and Tropea and Salerno. Here are some highlights from a magical few days after #IALC2018.

The Trieste and Milan fam-trip was hosted by two IALC-accredited schools: Piccola Universita Italiana in Trieste and Linguadue in Milan.

In Trieste, the party took a tour of Piccola Universita Italiana in Trieste, went on a historical city of Aquileia, had lunch at the 12th century castle of Spessa as well as sightseeing and shopping in the beautiful Italian seaside town. The agents then departed for Milan to go on a tour of the famous city a visit to IALC-accredited school Linguadue, followed by a guided tour of Milan’s famous Duomo and a visit to the Milan Masterpieces tour to view Michelangelo's Pieta Rondanini and Leonardo’s Last Supper.

Fam Trip 1 visited Trieste and Milan

Mr Eric (Junho) Lee from agency IEUM UHAK said: “The Famtrip to Trieste and Milano was fantastic and I have learnt how attractive the country of Italy is! This Fam Trip was nothing other than perfect.”

Ms Maria Morgacheva from DelArte added: “I went on Trieste-Milano Fam trip with Piccola Universita Italiana and Linguadue schools. Schools directors managed into squeeze the little time we had for each destination with as much joy and fun as possible, bringing language and business element as well, of course. We felt warm welcome and all experience gave as opportunity to build personal relationships with school employees, putting faces to the names. Some agents now want to come back and do a proper course of Italian!”

Fam Trip 1 visited Florence and Rome

The Florence and Rome fam-trip took agents to visit four IALC-accredited schools: Lorenzo de’ Medici, Linguaviva and Centro Fiorenza in Florence and Dilit in Rome. Agents began with a walking tour of Florence, then visited three IALC schools in the city and had dinner in a typical Tusan Osteria, before departing for Rome to visit Dilit and experience a taste of 'the eternal city' with highlights such as a trip to the Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona and a visit to the Roman Forum and Colosseum.

Mr Janne Myrhaug from agency Language Abroad said: “The fam-trip to Florence and Rome was amazing. We experienced an inspirational cooking lesson in Florence, dinner at an Osteria where we of course were served steak Fiorentina. We had guided tours in Florence and wonderful visits to the schools. As a first-timer to Rome, I must say that the stay here was magnificent. We had a language lesson at school, had two wonderful sightseeing tours in Rome, experienced Foro Romano at night for a spectacular show and had “Spaghettata di mezzanotte” at school. A wonderful experience and lovely hosts!”

Fam Trip 3 visited Salerno and Tropea

The third fam-trip took agents to Salerno and Tropea, where the group took a tour of Accademia Italiana in Salerno and went on a guided tour to Pompeii and of the Amalfi Cathedral and old city. The agents then travelled to Tropea, where the group visited Piccola Universita in Tropea with a beautiful tour by boat of the city which involved wine tasting at and dinner.

Mr Karel Klusak from agency INTACT said: “The fam-trip to Salerno and Tropea was excellent, the organisers let the agents experience the atmosphere of Salerno and Tropea. Perfect organization, great sights, delicious food, one of the best fam-trips I have ever been to!”

IALC would like to thank all the IALC-accredited schools hosting three fantastic fam-trips in Italy and for all the agents that participated in the event.
