BELS Gozo is a traditional Gozitan farmhouse that has been converted into a contemporary school, with 9 bright, air-conditioned classrooms which are equipped with interactive boards. Students can also make use of a sun terrace, a swimming pool and a garden after their English course in Gozo. Other facilities include vending machines, a library and free Wi-Fi. The school is accessible to persons with a disability. Our teaching approach is based on the communicative and blended learning methodology.

Our BELS Language School in Gozo is a centre primarily for adults. The centre offers group English courses in Gozo and individual courses.
Group English Courses for Adults (16+)
There are two types of group courses available: General English Standard Course (20 lessons / max. 12 students) and General English Intensive (30 lessons / max. 12 students). Both options are also available as Mini group courses (max. 6 students).
The General English Standard course is ideal for students who would like to improve in their day-to-day use of the language. It focuses on all four skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) with plenty of opportunities to practice.
The General English Intensive course includes the 20 lessons of the standard group, and additional fluency class in the early afternoon which help boost your speaking skills.
Individual Lessons & Semi-Individual Lessons.
BELS offers two kinds of individual lessons: one-to-one (one student), or semi-individual (2 students).
Individual lessons are ideal for students who require more attention from the teacher or who would like to focus on a specific learning point. Your individual lessons can be tailored to your needs. They can be language lessons, English for specific purpose, business English, exam preparation course or anything else you may require. A course will be made just for you. Individual lessons are also available via Skype.

The BELS team can manage your accommodation for you. Our options include staying at our BELS superior residence, homestay, self-catering shared apartments and hotels. Below you can find some detailed information on your residence and Homestay.
The BELS Gozo superior residence consist of two comfortably furnished apartments with 4 bedrooms each. All the rooms have natural light with the use of air-condition. The residence also includes a TV, wi-Fi in the living area, bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. Bed linen and towels are provided, and will be changed once a week. A private bathroom can be booked upon request. You can also spend time in the terrace and enjoy the town views. The apartment is a walking distance away from all amenities, including the local council, the post office, banks and various local shops.
Students living with a host family can fully immerse into learning English in Gozo and the local life while staying in a homely, family atmosphere. It’s a great way to experience Maltese culture, food and traditions. Our host families are hand-picked by BELS staff who ensure that they are warm, open-minded and helpful to our students. During homestay students are treated as a member of the family. On your arrival day, the family will introduce you to the household: keys, meals, routines etc. They’ll also provide you with information on the locality and the island in general. Bed sheets, towels and weekly cleaning services are provided for by the hosts. A host family profile will be sent directly to the student with their booking confirmation.
The BELS Gozo Language School is unique for its location in the rural Gozitan village of Kerċem. Gozo has retained its rustic charm and remains mostly unspoilt. In a short stroll around the area you enjoy sights of the local agriculture scene, narrow alleys with rubble walls, traditional houses and longstanding chapels.
The school is surrounded by farmland, yet it’s only a short walk away from the village square where one can find all the daily necessities. You’ll soon realise that everything in Gozo is near. The island’s size, together with its safety and slower pace of life make it a desirable locale for students who wish to escape a hectic lifestyle. You can focus on your English course in Gozo without any disruptions.
In the evenings you can walk down to the Kerċem square or to the neighbouring village of Għarb. Here you can find a relaxing, lively atmosphere to mingle with some locals over a nice meal or a drink or two. It’s also easy to walk to the neighbouring village of Għarb.
Victoria, the capital of Gozo, is a mere 20-minute walk from the school. In Victoria there are plenty of historical and cultural places of interest (Citadel, museums, art galleries, theatres) as well as entertainment places (shopping centres, cinema, restaurants, bars, pubs, regular events). The main bus terminal is located in Victoria, thereby ensuring ease of transport to the whole island. Car, motorbike, quadbike and bicycle rentals can be arranged here.
Gozo runs a regular ferry service which connects it to the mainland with a well-coordinated bus service.
Exam preparation courses are available in our Gozo language school as individual classes. Preparation course for the following exams are available: Cambridge KET, PET, FCE and CAE, IELTS and TOEFL. Our knowledgeable teaching staff will lead you through the course material using current Cambridge and Oxford materials and various mock examinations.
