IALC-accredited Russian language school Liden & Denz has opened a new centre in Latvia’s capital city Riga. Over half the population of Riga are Russian native speakers with around 85% of under 35s speaking Russian This makes Riga the only EU capital where you find a natural learning environment for Russian intensive immersion courses. Riga is also a no-hassle destination, safe and, frequently visa-free (special conditions apply for UK nationals staying over 90 days).
The new school consists of 7 fully air-conditioned classrooms in a beautifully renovated Art Nouveau building which is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Vecrīga, the Old Town - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the building, a cosy lounge and also a kitchen.
Liden & Denz Riga offers a wide range of Russian language programmes, from standard and intensive group courses to one-to-one, combination, language plus and exam preparation options.
Accommodation options include staying with host families, where you can really immerse yourself in your target language, or in a shared flat with your fellow students.
The team of Liden & Denz Riga has put together exciting city tours and themed excursions for you. Some of the activities are free of charge, others can be booked for a fee. As our language school in Riga is relatively small, excursions are offered on an ad-hoc basis and only on site. However, our travel department will be happy to help you plan and book excursions of one or more days in the Baltic States.
