IALC 2019 Seville Workshop hosts a week of spectacular events for schools, agents and service providers

The IALC 2019 Seville Workshop brought representatives of over 100 IALC schools to meet with 121 agencies from 40 countries as well as 20 top industry service providers offering solutions in technology, insurance, international payments, logistics and more for an unforgettable IALC experience in Seville.

The IALC 2019 Seville Workshop was one of our biggest ever events and the vibrant city of Seville was a fantastic host to three days of networking, learning and first class IALC entertainment and hospitality.

The Workshop began on Thursday 28 March with a lively afternoon of tips, tricks and expert analysis from a range of speakers sharing their digital marketing know-how for the IALC Study Travel Seminar Afternoon 2019 sponsored by guard.me.

The IALC Study Travel Seminar Afternoon 2019 was followed by the IALC 2019 Seville Workshop Welcome Reception sponsored by our long-term partners guard.me. The evening started off with a private reception at the famous Royal Alcázar of Seville which then went on to the Casino. While the party started inside, horse-drawn carriages took delegates through the park nearby with stunning views of the Plaza de España.

On Friday 29 and Saturday 30 March there were over 4000 pre-scheduled educator and agent appointments, plus many more informal meetings and was a fantastic opportunity for delegates to meet new partners and reconnect with existing ones, develop business skills and discover innovative solutions for the travel study industry.

The evening of Friday 29 brought everyone to the wonderful CLIC Seville School in the city centre for an evening of entertainment, paella, flamenco lessons, wine tasting, percussion and other workshops.

The week ended leaving unforgettable memories with colleagues and friends at our IALC Gala Dinner on Saturday night sponsored by guard.me. Held at the Hacienda El Vizir, the night included flamenco shows and an incredible performance of disco music.

The IALC team would like to thank all attendees to our IALC 2019 Seville Workshop and our fabulous hosts, Bernhard, Blanca and Frederic at CLIC Seville.

IALC President Giorgia Biccelli said: “IALC Seville has been a very successful workshop. This is for the association the most important annual event aimed at enhancing business, sharing market intelligence and networking with international decision makers of our language industry. Auckland in 2020 is another IALC challenge and we invite our community of like-minded schools, exhibitors and agents to join us in a great destination. Through our workshops, events and fam trips we shall showcase the best schools down under."

IALC Vice President for Marketing Robin Adams said:

"IALC Seville was a terrific opportunity for our member schools to experience continuing professional development sessions in the critical area of digital marketing. In addition, we were also able to have meaningful discussions for the 2019-2020 season, with key decision makers in our industry.  The tremendous efforts of CLIC team, augmented by the work from the IALC Secretariat, made it all possible.  We are now excited about next year’s ambitious event in Auckland, New Zealand – see you there mates!"

We hope you enjoyed the week and we look forward to seeing you at an IALC event in the future! You can check out some highlights of the IALC 2019 Seville Workshop here.
