CES recently presented a cheque for over €8,000 to Michael Cullen, representative of the charity Soul of Haiti, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility policy (see photo).
The staff and students of all five CES English schools in Dublin and the UK arranged fund raising events to generate money that was then doubled by CES!
CES Dublin organised a summer concert where some of the teachers played music with their own bands, while CES Oxford had a BBQ party and invited host families to take part !
CES Wimbledon, Worthing and Leeds also held concerts with members of staff and their bands providing the entertainment.
CES Dublin teacher Elaine McAardle visited Haiti earlier this year with Soul of Haiti as part of the charity programme.
In 2012, the €11,000+ raised by CES and its staff and students went to help build a new primary school in Port-au-Prince. The money raised this year will contribute to buying books and materials.
