Learn Russian in Moscow, Russia
This campus has been operating since 2004, providing high-quality courses of Russian for academic, leisure or business purposes. We focus on developing all language skills necessary for communication and comprehension as well as reading and writing. To ensure that our students feel their progress, we do our best to make the learning process as fast and efficient as possible.
Liden & Denz Moscow is centrally located, a short walk from the Belorusskaya Railway Station, where trains from Berlin and Warsaw arrive. Our premises are on the ground floor of a building owned by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where many international diplomats and press correspondents also have offices.
This course of 20 lessons per week is available year round, with a weekly intake of new students following a modular pattern of two-week units. The curriculum is built up like a spiral, where each new level of language acquisition starts with the revision of previously studied grammar constructions, logically connected with different speech patterns.
If you choose our Intensive Group Course, you will have 20 morning lessons with students following the Standard Group Course and 5 additional mini-group lessons, taught on two afternoons and offered in 3 different levels:
General Russian course with a more relaxed schedule of 15 weekly lessons run in the afternoons.
These courses combine our standard Group and One-to-One courses with additional, more focused study in a variety of business or cultural fields.
Language Plus module consists of 5 afternoon lessons on Business Russian, run for mini-groups. These modules can be taken year-round but can only be booked in addition to a Group or One-to-One full-time course.
Our One-to-One Courses are designed for students who require a very focused area of study. One-to-one courses are available in varying degrees of intensity: 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 lessons per week.
Our live, online courses have the same teachers and lesson content as the residential classes in our institutes.
"I strongly recommend Liden & Denz Moscow for its efficiency, its friendly atmosphere and the professionalism of its teachers."

Over the past years, Moscow has impressively developed as a city and has shown considerable economic and cultural growth. This city demonstrates a stunning contrast of modern and ancient architecture, alongside imposing Stalin's era buildings. Besides the world-known Red Square with the Kremlin, a great variety of sights and spectacular viewpoints will make your trip an unforgettable one.
Nowadays, Moscow is a 21st century capital and a fast-paced 24-hour metropolis. With its numerous clubs and bars Moscow has recently become one of Europe’s party capitals, attracting thousands of nightlife lovers.
TRKI exam is an official state testing system created in the 1990s to assess foreign students’ command of Russian. Ever since it has been mandatory for international students who aim at being enrolled in Russian universities. The TBU/TEU/TRKI certificates are also widely recognised by major Russian employers and will enhance your CV should you be pursuing a career in Russia. The six levels (ТЭУ, ТБУ, ТРКИ-1, ТРКИ-2, ТРКИ-3, ТРКИ-4) correspond to CEFR. The language skills are tested in all aspects, e.g. Grammar and Vocabulary, Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. TRKI exams are challenging and tend to be more academic than communicative and thus require specific preparation.
We recommend at least 10 individual lessons to prepare for any TRKI exam on top of our standard group classes or other general Russian course. The preparation course includes going over the mock exam with your tutor, eliciting the strong and weak points and targeting the latter. Statistically, the most challenging part of the exam is writing. There are techniques and methods to adjust the student’s language skills to the exam requirements and make a student aware of the exam structure, procedure, and other pragmatic issues.
At the moment, in-house examinations are organised only at the Saint Petersburg school, but can as well be taken online from Moscow or elsewhere.
Theory and practice should go hand-in-hand. To ensure that you improve your skills and are able to apply them in real life, Liden & Denz offers students a rich activity programme of free or affordable events. The activities range from a classic excursion trough one of Moscow's museums to Friday vodka parties.
