World Cup 2010 English Language Course at Hampstead School of English

Hampstead School of English is running a World Cup 2010 English Language Special Course in June and July to help football fans from around the world discuss the offside rule and other football topics in English. The course enables students to:

oDescribe great goals in fluent and accurate English

oUnderstand interviews in English with top players around the world

oWrite match reports, internet blogs and Twitter statements

oDevelop better reading techniques for finding key information in longer English articles and texts

Other highlights of the course are:

oAll matches available on a widescreen plasma television

oA visit to Wembley Stadium

oA special World Cup Final dinner in a top London restaurant

oAnalysis of interviews with all the great players and coaches in South Africa

oAuthentic materials to help students speak the international language of football

The course is designed for the B2-C2 level, but materials can be adapted for B1-0 and B1-2 levels. It runs from 27 June to 12 July 2010.
