Located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Southern California, San Diego, known as America’s Finest City is famous for its abundance of white-sand beaches and warm weather. San Diego is California’s second largest city and the United States’ eighth largest with a population of over 1.3 million.
The multitude of hiking trails, stunning beaches, and the flourishing culinary and beer scene is enough to have you packing your belongings and head west!
During the summer months the city’s wide, soft, sandy beaches are packed. In the winter season, however, the beaches are often refreshingly uncluttered allowing you to go on peaceful walks along the shoreline or surf the waves.
The Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego offers both: excellent waves for surfing and calm areas that are ideal for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding along with other exciting ocean activities.

For snowboarding or skiing in the winter head two hours northeast to Big Bear Mountain.
