What to do while learning Italian in Naples

You will be able to visit Mount Vesuvius. The hike to the summit of Mount Vesuvius takes about 30-45 minutes and offers stunning views of the Bay of Naples and the surrounding landscape. There is a crater at the summit of the volcano that is about 600 meters in diameter and 200 meters deep. Mount Vesuvius is a popular destination for tourists visiting Naples and the surrounding area, with many tour operators offering guided hikes to the summit.

Naples also has a historic centre that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The centre is a maze of narrow streets, hidden squares, and Baroque churches, making it a perfect place to wander and get lost in the city's charming architecture and unique character. Naples is also home to two impressive castles, the Castel dell'Ovo and the Castel Nuovo, both of which are located in the city centre. The castles have interesting histories and offer stunning views of the city.

Don’t miss Villa Borghese - this astonishing villa contains a world class collection of Baroque art and the grounds have many exotic plants. It’s astonishing that this beautiful building with its manicured gardens exists right in the heart of Rome. Many locals spend their days off here, soaking up the calm atmosphere, surrounded by orange trees and rare flowering plants.

While you might think all Rome’s gelaterias (ice cream shops) are much the same, Giolitti, near the Pantheon, has a special place in the Roman heart. It’s been serving ices since 1900 and there are two ways to buy - sit down and have table service or queue and take your gelato away. If you queue, you pay first and then choose your flavours - this is how most gelaterias operate.

Located on the Bay of Naples, the city offers spectacular views of Mount Vesuvius, the islands of Capri and Ischia, and the surrounding coastline. You can walk along the seafront promenade or take a boat tour to see the stunning views from the water.

Naples features many beautiful churches and religious traditions. One of the most important religious sites in Naples is the Catacombs of San Gennaro, which contain ancient Christian burial sites. The Duomo di Napoli is one of the main religious sites in Naples. This magnificent cathedral is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and is the seat of the Archbishop of Naples. It contains many important works of art, including a 14th-century fresco by Giotto.
