Accademia Italiana in Italy has scheduled three start dates in 2012 for its Italian Language, Food and Wine course in Salerno. The programme introduced in 2011 proved very popular and is being repeated in spring and summer this year. The two-week course is designed for people who want to learn Italian and experience the local culture - not only cooking and wine-tasting, but excursions, cultural seminars and more.
The language lessons are held in the morning, with cultural activities, cooking lessons, special visits with tastings of food and wines and excursions in the afternoons and at the weekend.
Programme in detail:
2 weeks/ 40 Italian General lessons (45 min. each lesson)
2 lessons on traditional cooking of Campania (4 hours)
2 lessons of traditional wines of Campania (4 hours)
1 Half-day City Tour of Salerno
1 Half-day visit to Mozzarella factory (buffalo and workshop) with tasting
1 Half-day visit to Wines Canteen or Lemoncello factory with tasting
1 full day Excursion (Naples, Paestum, Pompei, etc.)
2 cultural seminars: gastronomic traditions, wines from Campania
