Students at Langports English school campus on the Gold Coast have won the latest Langports Games. The competition takes place twice a year between Langports Brisbane campus and Langports Gold Coast campus. It’s like a mini Olympics where teams play seven sports – Badminton, Touch Footy, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball and Girls and Guys Soccer.

The Gold Coast campus won on Thursday, 17 May 2012, but it was a really close competition between Brisbane and Gold Coast, with the final result hanging on the last game of the day! The Brisbane campus won Badminton, Volleyball and Girls Soccer, but ultimately, the Gold Coast campus took home the trophy winning Touch Footy, Table Tennis, Basketball and the last game of the day, The Boys Soccer.

There was plenty of cheering, support and teamwork amongst all students and everyone had a great time. Students and teachers were proudly wearing their Langports T-Shirts in their team colours, blue for Brisbane and red for Gold Coast. The students and staff cheered on their teams by shaking coloured poms-poms and holding up handmade signs and banners.
