We are pleased to announce Global Village Victoria has launched its new IELTS portal. The new platform is to become a resource hub for the GV IELTS test-takers, students, and other stakeholders. The new website is integrated with the IDP booking system to make a smooth registration experience for Victoria (BC) and Calgary (AB) test centres.
According to Paula Jamieson, President and CEO of GV Victoria, “Creating accessible resources for test takers and a smoother e-commerce experience were two of the reasons why the website received this much-needed overhaul. We want to provide visitors to the site a stress-free journey whether they are seeking general information, booking a test, or looking for courses and books to help them achieve their score.”
Tania Knoch, Director of Testing Services, added: "In April, the Government of Canada's Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada opened 90,000 spaces in the temporary Pathway to Permanent Residence program, which put pressure on the IELTS booking system. Global Village's new site will help alleviate the pressure by providing test takers with as much information as possible before they register for the test.”
Global Village Victoria would like to gratefully acknowledge Small Business BC for assisting some of the province’s hardest hit businesses. Through the BC Small and Medium Sized Business Recovery Grant program, professional service providers like Global Village’s IELTS Test Centres were provided with funding to execute a pre-approved business survival plan, of which the new IELTS portal was a part of.
