ELC Brighton receives top marks in latest inspection

The English Language Centre Brighton has passed its latest British Council Inspection in July with the perfect score: 15 out of a possible 15 areas of strength.

ELC Brighton is now jointly ranked a No 1 School in the UK and Centre of Excellence based on EL Gazette’s rankings of British Council inspection reports.

This result follows on from the great inspection report for ELC Eastbourne earlier in the year – 13 out of 15 areas of strength (top 5%) – and together with ELC’s new partner school, English in Chester (14 out of 15 strengths, Top 2%) this makes ELC the highest ranking groups of schools in the UK.

Out of more than 500 accredited centres, ELC Brighton tops the UK rankings with 4 other IALC schools:, The English Language Centre Bristol, The London School of English, LSI Portsmouth and WSE Wimbledon School of English.

Phil Hopkins, Chief Executive at ELC Brighton said: “We are all incredibly delighted and very proud with this wonderful news. It is a result of the great teamwork and focus on quality at ELC – teaching, administration, accommodation, social programme – and of course your support.”

Amongst the areas of strength noted in the report are teaching, accommodation, care of students and Safeguarding of Under 18s.
