We are delighted to announce that IALC language centre ACET Active Centre of English Training, in Cork have won Best English Language School 2019 in Ireland in the Irish Enterprise Awards.
ACET was Corks first English language school and is also the oldest remaining language school in Ireland. In 2018 the school won this prize for Cork County. Vicky Power the school’s Marketing Director, is delighted that after a year the school has gone one step further and won the award for the whole country, she said that these awards ‘prove that ACET has and always will be Cork’s leading English language school. We offer the highest possible quality programmes and services, and our hands on and welcoming approach keeps us growing year on year.’
As well as winning this fantastic award, ACET has also been shortlisted for Best Language School in the Irish Education Awards and also Shortlisted in the Best Professional Services Category in the Cork Business of the Year Awards.
The school was founded in 1975 by Odile Migieu, and the Migieu/Coade family still own and run the academy today. Odile’s daughter Joelle who is now ACET’s Executive Director is thrilled with all these awards and says that ‘winning and being a finalist again is a great honour and testament to the huge work and effort the ACET family and team have put in since 1975.’
Having been nominated, shortlisted or won 11 awards over a two year period alone, the team are looking forward to another great year for ACET.
Joelle goes on to explain what we can expect from ACET in 2019: ‘We have had to further extend our adult capacity for summer due a big increase in numbers and there are some specialised programmes in the pipeline. In addition we have won some very big and highly coveted contracts. We also have an ACET baby on the way so we will have a little mascot joining the team for summer 2019.’
IALC congratulates ACET for their recent success and are proud to share this fantastic news which showcases the quality of our accredited language schools.
