Workshop Details

IMPORTANT

This workshop is an in-person face-to-face event in Cardiff. 
The cost for a hosted agent is heavily subsidised by IALC Members.  The cost of the workshop is €200. 

This includes: 3 night’s accommodation, a seminar afternoon, 2 full days of workshop meetings and 3 evening events. All meals and transport to the evening events where necessary are included. Flights and travel to and from Cardiff are not included.

Pricing

IALC hosts one agent per agency at a heavily subsidised rate, which is paid for by the IALC members.

You may register additional delegates at the full cost price. To make the most of the IALC Workshop, we recommend that your delegate has a senior position or is in charge of selecting language programmes at your agency. 

What's included:
3 night’s accommodation, a seminar afternoon, 2 full days of workshop meetings and 3 evening events. All meals and transport to the evening events where necessary are included.

IALC offers each agency one room inclusive of breakfast from 11-14 April 2024 (check out on 14th April) at one of the above hotels in Cardiff (3 nights). You can share this room with a companion or additional delegate but additional charges will apply (see Delegate prices above). 

IALC has negotiated accommodation rates with the above hotels in Cardiff. All rates include internet access and breakfast for one. Charges for any extra nights, additional rooms, extra people and beds, as well as any incidental costs, are payable by you directly to the hotel on departure.

By road 

Cardiff is on A48/M4 motorway which provides a direct route from London and the South East. The M50 & M5 motorways link with the M4 from the Midlands and North of England and the South West of England.   

By rail

Cardiff is well-connected to the rail network, with links to Heathrow, Gatwick and Birmingham airports. High-speed trains run frequently between Cardiff and most other major cities in the UK. Cardiff International Airport  receives direct flights from over 50 destinations and has more than 900 connecting destinations worldwide through hubs including Amsterdam Schiphol, Doha, Dublin and Barcelona. Frequent airlines include: KLM, Qatar Airways, Ryanair, Vueling. When you arrive, you can catch a taxi, hire a car, or hop on a train to reach your desired destination within the city. Getting to and from Cardiff Airport

Bristol Airport  has over 130 direct routes and more than 700 connecting destinations worldwide through hubs including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Brussels and Dublin. Frequent airlines include: Aer Lingus, Lufthansa, EasyJet, KLM, Ryanair, Eurowings.

It is also only 1 hour from Cardiff city centre and there is a direct bus link from Bristol Airport to Friary Gardens, Cardiff which is directly opposite the Hilton. Click HERE 

London Heathrow, the most important airport in the UK, is easy to reach from Cardiff with excellent train and bus connections between London Heathrow and Cardiff.  

Getting the train from London Heathrow: take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington (20 mins), then take the fast train to Cardiff Central (1 hour, 50 minutes). Be sure to buy your tickets well in advance to get the cheapest deal.  Click HERE 

By Coach / Bus

If you're looking for an affordable mode of transport, consider traveling to Cardiff by coach. Coaches operate from major UK cities, offering a comfortable and cost-effective journey. Visas

EEA and Switzerland: Business people from the EEA or Switzerland do not need to apply for a visa to the United Kingdom.  

Non-Visa Nationals: A non-visa national does not normally need a visa to visit the United Kingdom for less than six months. This applies to 56 countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Mexico or South Korea. A non-visa national coming to the UK for fewer than 6 months does require UK immigration permission; but can apply for this at port of entry to the UK rather than in advance of travel.  

Visa nationals: Visitors from countries who need a visa to enter to the UK can apply for a Standard Visitor Visa.
