In November 2009, New Zealand’s Dominion English language school celebrated 40 years in education with two parties in Auckland.

A formal party was attended by Nikki Kaye, Member of Parliament for Auckland Central, founding managing director of Dominion, John Langdon, and current MD Saburo Takayasu. Gifts were presented to long-term members of staff, among whom marketing manager Alyson Craig holds the current record of 23 years of service.

A second party was enjoyed by the English language school’s students. Prizes were distributed and food donations from each student were collected for the Auckland homeless.

The Dominion English language schools in Auckland and Christchurch close only for the public holidays over Christmas and New Year. Excursions coordinator Zane Williams is organizing a two-week tour around both islands of New Zealand for 46 students. The tour is an annual event for students staying in New Zealand for the duration of the Christmas period.
