Quality Language Schools Worldwide

The seventh Oxford Fun Run, organized by Oxford English Centre and the Rotary Club of Oxford, took place on May 12, 2007. The annual charity race covers three miles in the Oxford University Parks and includes a special event for English language schools, sponsored by Student Event Activities (SEA), in which 25 teams took part. Other sponsors were Oxford English Centre, Language Travel Magazine, Macmillan ELT and Oxford University Press. Local MP Andrew Smith started the race and later helped to judge the fancy dress prizes, which are among various trophies awarded, including “leading lady” and “sartorial stroller”. St Clare’s won the SEA Trophy for schools and colleges, while Vaughan Jones, co-author of Inside Out, won the Best Team Fancy Dress with his family. Kidlington ATC were awarded the Sartorial Stroller Trophy for the third year running. Graham Simpson once again hosted the post-race barbecue at Oxford English Centre. Over £4000 was raised for the work of Pathway Workshop.
