Situated in a three-storey heritage mansion, the Tasmanian College of English’s charming renovated classrooms, kitchen, common room and extensive gardens provide a warm and friendly atmosphere to study English. The language school is a few minutes walk to Hobart city centre and the beautiful harbour area. SACE Club activities offer a variety of exciting social activities and adventurous excursions on weekends. The Tasmanian College of English has been recognised for its contribution to the environment by Environmental awards from Hobart City Council, South Australian College of English students have contributed to this award.

Tasmania, an island of similar size to Ireland and in a similar latitude to Madrid Spain, is renown as Australia’s wilderness state. Famous for its world heritage national parks, Tasmania has spectacular unspoilt areas ideal for eco-tourism activities such as white water rafting, sea kayaking and rock climbing. Hobart’s charm remains untouched by tourism. The city surrounds a large harbour and is Australia’s second oldest city.
